Once upon a time there was a mother-in-law that was so mean of a woman that she said full of hate to her pet bird in the front her daughter-in-law "I hope this stupid bird dies"!!!!!
Long and behold the next day the bird drop dead in the cage"
Birds may have birdbrains but evidently they can sense rejection and hate.
Rejection is the one thing that you can express in any language and communicate it very effectively even to birds and dogs and people.
It is like love, one knows when one is loved or when one is not loved.
The amazing thing of the story is that the daughter in law in mention lived to reject and to reject intensely others in her relationships that by so doing she has rejected self and does not know it.
What safe advice from our Lord Jesus that Love by far and foremost is good to dispense and receive love that even if you are not loved back, the author of love will reward you for sure for having taken him at his word when he said:
"Love one another, as I have loved you"
One bright winter morning I remember seeing a little bird under a tree possible it had fallen from the nest. I wanted to pick it up and put him back in the nest. But I also remember that in the past if I ever touched a bird on a nest, the mother bird would have nothing to do with the little bird and leave him to die alone. Whether the smell of humans hands on the body of the little bird or plain rejection for having been handled by foreigners but it was unforgivable to the mother bird.
I left the little bird where I found it and in the afternoon I went back to check it out and found him in the upper branch singing his heart out. I was so happy not to have touch him and alienate him from his mother.
There is a fine line between love and rejection. Purity makes the heart rest in one another. Faithfulness is the opposite of adultery or improper loyalties. It is valid with birds and people. Unity, singleness of heart, mind and soul is a must for ongoing fellowship and ones.
Jesus said: “You are more important than many birds”
